The Witching Hour: A Two-Page Halloween Coloring Journey is an immersive collection of elaborate Halloween scenes created for colorists who believe more is more.
Inside are 31 immersive two-page coloring spreads—62 full coloring pages in all—with each scene stretching across two facing pages to create one expansive world to explore. Wander through haunted hotels, moonlit gardens, peculiar shops, witchy markets, Gothic interiors, midnight celebrations, strange attractions, and other wonderfully eerie places filled from corner to corner with things to discover.
PLEASE NOTE THE COLORING STYLE: This is an intentionally maximal, dense, highly detailed coloring book. The illustrations contain abundant objects, patterns, architectural details, foliage, characters, decorations, and atmospheric elements. Because these scenes take place largely at night, the artwork also uses substantial areas of black ink and dark nighttime shading to create depth, shadows, moonlight, and dramatic Gothic atmosphere.
If you prefer simple outlines, large open coloring spaces, minimal backgrounds, or very little pre-printed black, this probably isn't the coloring book for you.
But if you love getting lost in complicated scenes, coloring around dramatic shadows, discovering tiny details as you work, and watching an elaborate nighttime world emerge from the page, welcome to The Witching Hour.
Designed with marker users in mind: Each two-page coloring scene is followed by a decorative buffer spread, placing an extra printed page behind each coloring page before the next major illustration begins. These lightly illustrated filler pages provide separation between the main coloring scenes and an additional layer of protection against marker bleed-through. For very wet or alcohol-based markers, an extra protective sheet is still recommended.
